How it works

From stuck on a chapter to booked with a teacher

Coursity is a marketplace, not an agency. You choose the teacher, the time and the format — we handle verification, scheduling and payment.

For students and parents

  1. Create your learner profile

Your curriculum, grade and the subjects you need. This is what matching runs on, so it is worth being accurate.

  2. Compare real teachers

Every tutor shows their approved subjects and grades, languages, rates and availability before you commit to anything.

  3. Book a lesson or a package

Single lessons to try someone out, or a package when you know who you want. 1-to-1 or small group.

  4. Learn in the classroom

Join from a browser. The classroom is built to survive a weak connection rather than drop you mid-lesson.

  5. Keep what you learned

Each lesson leaves a recap behind. Turn it into key points or a practice exam in the Study Hub.

For teachers

  1. Apply once

Tell us what you are qualified to teach and upload your documents. One review covers your whole application.

  2. Get verified

We check qualifications and identity before you can take a booking. It protects students and it protects you.

  3. Set your terms

Your rates, your durations, your weekly availability, your group sizes. Change them whenever you like.

  4. Teach and get paid

Students book against your real calendar. Earnings settle after each confirmed lesson.

What we check before a teacher can take a booking

  • Government-issued identity
  • Qualifications for the subjects and grades applied for
  • A human verification decision — never automatic
  • Teachers can only be booked for what they were approved to teach

Common questions

What does a lesson cost?

Teachers set their own rates, so prices vary by subject, grade and lesson length. Every rate is visible on the teacher's profile before you book.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel free within the standard cancellation window shown at checkout. Cancel later than that and the lesson may be charged.

What is the difference between 1-to-1 and group?

1-to-1 is a private lesson with the teacher. Group lessons are small — capacity is set by the teacher — and cost less per student.

Can a parent manage this for their child?

Yes. A parent can create and run the account on behalf of a younger learner, including booking and payment.
