What we collect, why we need it, and what we do not do with it.

Last updated 30 August 2026
Plain-language draft. It accurately describes what the product stores today, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and should be before launch.

What we collect

  • Account basics: name, email, and the role you signed up as.
  • Student profile: age, grade, curriculum, subjects and optional preferences — this is what matching runs on.
  • Teacher application: qualifications and identity documents, held privately and visible only to reviewers.
  • Bookings, orders and payment status.
  • Study Hub material you paste in, and what was generated from it.

Why we need it

Almost all of it exists to make matching work: a curriculum and grade are the difference between a useful recommendation and a random one. Identity and qualification documents exist so a parent can trust a stranger with their child.

We do not collect your exact location. It is not needed for online tutoring and asking for it would only create risk.

Who can see what

  • A teacher sees the students booked with them, not your whole profile.
  • A parent sees a linked child's lessons, credits and study material — only after the student accepts the link, and only until they revoke it.
  • Admins can see applications and payment records for support and verification, but not students' Study Hub material.
  • We do not sell data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

AI processing

Study Hub material is sent to our AI provider to generate a summary, key points or an exam. Only the material you submit for that generation is sent. It is not used to train anyone's model as part of this product.

You can delete a document at any time, which removes it and everything generated from it.

How it is protected

Access is enforced at the database level rather than only in the interface, so a page that forgets a check still cannot read someone else's rows. Application documents live in private storage. Payment card details never reach Coursity at all — they are handled entirely by the payment provider.

Your data

You can see and change your profile from Settings, delete Study Hub material, and revoke a guardian link. To request a full export or deletion of your account, contact support and we will action it.
